In Washington, Christmas Tree Shops, a failing home-goods retailer, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection two months ago, and it now intends to Closing all of its remaining locations. It has also started sale phase operations.

After Bed Bath & Beyond, which also filed for bankruptcy earlier this year, sold the business in 2020, it is currently owned by a new company.
